Dr. Attardi joined the Department of Foundational 医疗 Studies at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine as an assistant professor in 2015. She teaches histology and gross anatomy to medical students. Dr. Attardi is a medical education researcher, with a focus on online education and curriculum integration involving the anatomical sciences. She evaluates educational innovations in these areas through a broad range of research approaches (qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods). Dr. Attardi is actively involved in various areas of the OUWB curriculum through her membership on the 课程 Committee and M1M2 Subcommittee, and as Chair of the 课程 Evaluation Subcommittee. She is also Secretary of the OUWB 教师 Assembly and Chair of the 招生 Recruitment Scholarship Committee.
Dr. Attardi received her Ph.D. in Clinical Anatomy from The University of Western Ontario under the supervision of Dr. 克姆罗杰斯. Her doctoral thesis involved the design, implementation and evaluation of a fully online anatomy course with a laboratory component. While at The University of Western Ontario, she lectured in an undergraduate histology course and led microscopy laboratory sessions in both traditional and online formats. Her skills in cadaveric dissection were honed through graduate teaching assistantships at both The University of Western Ontario and Queen's University and while working as an Anatomy Laboratory Technician at the University of Guelph. Dr. Attardi also taught gross anatomy at the University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College.
Dr. Attardi has a special interest in professional development in higher education. She serves on the American Association for Anatomy’s Committee for Early Career Anatomists and on the International Association for 医疗 Science Educators’ Student Professional Development Committee. She previously served on the American Association for Anatomy’s Professional Development Committee and was the Vice President of Oakland University's Women's Employee Resource Group.
She is a member of the American Association for Anatomy, the International Association of 医疗 Science Educators, 和EDUCAUSE.
