About the Provost
The Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost is the chief academic officer of the University. The Provost advises the President on all matters pertaining to undergraduate and graduate education and research and creative endeavors among faculty and students. The Provost advances the public service mission of the institution and articulates a strategic vision for the division of Academic Affairs.
The Provost also has responsibility for leaders who oversee academic and administrative units within academic affairs including: The Deans of the College, Schools, and Graduate Education, Associate Provost for Student Success, Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs, Associate Provost for Accreditation and Quality Assurance, Associate Provost for Operations, Vice President for Research, Director of the Eye Research Institute, and the Director of OU Macomb.
